Carmen Martorella studied Art throughout her College years at Cambrian College as interest courses while achieving her Business Diploma. She also graduated recently from Athabasca University with a B/A in Business Administration while working full time. She attends workshops throughout Ontario on a continual basis picking up new techniques from various Artists.

  Carmen also has a creative side in the crafts designing and selling gift baskets and Christmas decorations. Carmen was born in Sudbury Ontario and presently resides and works in the Sudbury Area. Carmen enjoys travelling and the outdoors. She is inspired by the architecture of old villages in Europe. Her parents were born in Bomba, Italy. Carmen enjoys watching animals, swimming, canoeing and camping, cooking, and reading. She enjoys painting wildlife.

  Carmen is a watercolour artist dabbling in other mediums on occasions such as collages, paper-toles and pastels. She has been studying art since her years in high school at Sudbury Secondary School specializing in the Arts Program. Carmen has studied with well known artists within the Sudbury Area including Ivan Wheale, Richard Edwards, Lozia, Deborah Ireland and Sue Lampinen.

  Carmen is a member of the Sudbury Art Club and Sudbury Crafts & Arts Council and has exhibits in the Fall and the Spring in Sudbury and displays in the Kinsmen Home. Carmen is constantly trying to master the art of watercolour painting and prefers to work on this medium until she believes she has reached perfection. Here is a collection of her artwork.
